here we go again...

Saturday morning at 7am...
Another season of hockey is in full swing. We had a total of 8 games this weekend between the boys and Kennedy. And by the looks of the schedule it doesn't look like it will change anytime soon. They will both be on traveling teams this year as well, which means two more practices each week and tons more games.

More photos from the weekend...
the boys FINALLY got to have a sleepover with BFF Cole.

And Sunday night it was time to catch up on reading minutes for school...

In other news... Katelyn auditioned for the play "Annie" at her middle school last week and found out this weekend that she got a part! Congrats Kate!

our weekend...

We got to have the cousins come and stay for the weekend and did lots of fun stuff... photos at the loft, birthday celebrations at Chuck E. Cheese, Vikings Football and Chili, and lots of giggling and goofing around.
Here is "Big E"... almost two-years-old already!

Happy Halloween!

Here are a few pics from last night (be VERY impressed that they are already on the blog...I am!)

Check out what a porker Emme is!
We got together with friends and had pumpkin shaped pizzas and then went trick-or-treating with this crew!

hmmmm...

I found Carter's blanket in the garbage the other day while I was doing laundry. I guess he is too big for it now. It actually makes me a little sad...he has carried that thing around for a lot of years!

Star of the Week

That's our Kennedy... the big star of the week in her second grade classroom. On Monday she had to bring photos to decorate the bulletin board below... She also had to bring a bag of things to show her class that tell about her. She brought a photo of her playing hockey and a hockey trophy, an Ice Show program, a photo of Emme, a special doll her grandma gave her, and a Miley Cyrus CD. Tuesday she had to bring her favorite book to school to read to her class. She chose The Magic Glasses. Wednesday she had to bring a letter written to her by her parents (ahem.... which means me...) In it I wrote about the time when she was little and was suppose to be taking a nap, but instead colored her bed, her walls and herself green with a marker. I also included a photo of the incident and she said her friends thought it was so funny. Today was lunch buddy day.... so I brought Erbert's and Gerbert's as requested.
Congratulations Kennedy! We think you are Star of the Year!

weekend happenings...

We had a busy weekend with lots of things going on: three birthday parties, a bon-fire at friends house, a house warming party at different friends, two soccer games, a shopping trip and three shoots for me. Friday night my mom, Kennedy and I headed to the Patina White sale in DL while the boys stayed home to play soccer at half-time of the varsity boys' game.

Here are some photos of the gorgeous house where the sale was... This house is the reason I wanted to choose white siding when I found out we'd be getting all new siding because of the hail storm last year. But I chickened out and went with gray again.
The kids danced and ran around like crazy at the bon-fire. It was the second one we've been to in two weeks and there have been hayrides and hot chocolate and atleast 50 kids. What fun.

The old gold sofa was still in the back of the truck from a session this weekend, so when I walked out to go to the grocery story yesterday...this is where I found the boys.

What didn't get done this weekend? This is what the laundry room looked like when I left for work this morning. Ugh. Laundry fairy...where are you?

Feelin' Better

In case any of you are wondering how Miss Emme is doing after her surgery... she is feeling a little better today. After I picked her up yesterday, she stayed in her crate all afternoon and night and would not come out. This morning though she started walking around and even ate a little. Not only did she have to get spayed, but she also needed 11 teeth pulled...poor girl. I'm sure she'll be back to her crazy naughty self in no time.

I scream... You scream...

We all scream for ice cream!

You would have thought that Tiger Woods came walking down the street the way my kids came running in squealing and yelling. I've never seen Cooper move so fast as he did when he ran up to his room to get his wallet. He was NOT going to miss that ice cream truck.
I love that Kennedy is standing in line holding her pink purse...

miss em

Here is our chunk of a pup after her first long day home alone. She has gotten so big... she was suppose to grow to be 4-5 lbs. Hah... she's already 6 lbs and only five months old! After these photos, she was off to get a haircut...I have yet to photograph the after...it's not so good. Next week is surgery and the week after that... Puppy Kindergarten!

rainy first day

It was the first day of school today...dark, rainy and gloomy. Only two kids said they were not getting out of bed for school this morning. But....they all managed to make it up and out of the house on time. The bus was over 20 minutes late, and they were tired of standing in the neighbor's driveway getting drizzled on, so I ended up giving C&C and Kennedy a ride to school. It was the first time in seven years that I didn't have extra little feet walking through my door. I did not have to make breakfast...or lunch... Tim even took ME out for lunch today...I feel like a real working woman now!
Here are photos from the morning...

"Play with me please daddy"

I hope miss "E" made it through her long day in her crate!
