Perhaps I should try...
...cooking a meal at home for once. I input our expenses for the week into the computer today and the entries went like this: Pizza Hut, Qdoba, Pizza Ranch, McDonalds, Village Inn, Dominos, HiHo, Duane's, Happy Joes. And that was just for one week.

OK.... this is your mother here... I do have a comment on that.. but will bite my tongue until I see if others have comments similar to what mine would be ! Grandma Laverne ? ? ? ? ? ? Doctor Ryan ? ? ? ?
Maybe that's why Kennedy was so anxious to grab a few of those communion wafers ? ? !(*@_#* #(* #@
Ria ! This is Doctor Miller ...I am so proud of you ... not only will you be saving money by eating at home but hopefully you will all be in more of a relaxed mode so that your body will be able to digest the food that you are eating more efficiently. Now the choice you have in cooking at home is deciding what is healthy to cook... not always what is easiest. The smarter choices that you make not only for yourself, but for your family will have a tremendous effect on your whole family's future healthwise. Sandi shares some of your fun blogs with us about your kids activities and pictures.. you have a beautiful family and I wish you an abundance of health and happiness! Doc... at Chaska Family Chiropractic!!!!!
Ria.......agree 100% with Doc from Chaska....You are such an organizer that you could start with one week and make a menu and list the meal for each day and then follow it....Planning ahead helps make the decision to eat out almost disappear.....start small so you can see the success and then build from there. Know you can do it ........start with a plan that you can follow and go for it!
Okay, your sister in law weighing in here. The temptation to eat out is so there all the time - with the busy kids and the stress of having to go to the grocery store. What to buy? What to cook? What will they actually eat? I have to say, my last few meals have been met with, "we're having what?" or "yuck, I'm not eating that!" It's so frustrating, and not just financially! No judgement here - they always find something they like at a restaurant - and you don't have to be the mean mom making them take 4 more bites! I've got a website that gives you weekly menus, complete with a grocery list and claims of 30 prep! I'll let you know what I think. Better go get dinner on the table!
