what's that you say?

You want to see MORE pictures from Florida? Oh good. I was hoping you didn't think you were done.

Our resort.... the Wyndam Bonnet Creek Resort.
A few more from Blizzard Beach...They had a chair lift just like at a ski resort to get you up to the top of the mountain. Here is Carter going down Summit Plummet, a 120 foot high waterslide. You travel up to 60 MPH going down this thing! Everyone tried it except for scardy-cats mom and Kennedy!And... our day at the Ocean. Dad says it was his favorite part of the trip... can you tell?
These pictures our from our little adventure trying to find somewhere to eat along Clearwater Beach. After walking for quite awhile (we even had to stop and buy Kennedy some $5 crocs at a souvenir shop because she was getting blisters from her flip flops) we ended up at a little bar that the kids thought was terrible. They were tired and hungry (and a bit cranky)... but luckily the food came quickly and it was AWESOME!

Not to worry... I have MANY MANY more pictures to post... but I haven't had time to go through all of them!

Merry Christmas everyone!

more from florida...

Our last couple of days have been too jam packed to do any blogging, so I have a little catching up to do. I will just give you a quick overview of what we've been up to, and then hopefully can post more pics and stories from our trip when we get back! We are having the best time... I really don't know if I have words to explain it. I have heard it many many times before and always thought it was kind of corny, but it really is just MAGICAL here. Disney thinks of every detail!

We spent all day Wednesday at Magic Kingdom, trying to find our way around, going on a few rides, watching shows, meeting a few characters...
... and my favorite, watching them light up the Cinderella castle with Christmas lights.
Thursday we spent at Animal Kingdom... a definite favorite of our family. (The kids all said they liked it better than Magic Kingdom!) We went on an African safari, ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, rode the awesome rollercoaster Expedition Everest, and met some more characters.
Thursday night, we headed back over to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party where they had free cookies and cocoa, fake snow on Main Street, an amazing fireworks display set to Christmas music, and a holiday lights parade.
It was a long day and a late night, so we spent today sleeping in and relaxing at our resort (the kids are sitting in the hot tub outside in the rain right now!) Tomorrow is suppose to be cool, but sunny so we are going to be heading to Seaworld for the day. Sunday our flight leaves at 7am and we have a 45 min. drive to the airport and still need to turn in our rental car. Needless to say it is going to be an EARLY morning!

what are you gonna do next?

We're going to Disneyworld!

white christmas?

It depends where you are! It was another perfect day for us... we traveled to the Gulf side of Florida to visit Clearwater beach. The kids loved the ocean (even though while we were driving there they told us they were NOT going to be swimming because they could be eaten by sharks.)

Katelyn spent most of the day in the sand catching some rays. (And no that is not a Corona in her hands... it's apple juice.)

Kennedy was intent on finding a seashell for every kid in her class!
Carter and Cooper loved jumping the waves and playing catch with dad.
We ate dinner at a little hole-in-the-wall along the strip... and had the BEST food!
Tomorrow... DISNEYWORLD! (Technically, we are going to Magic Kingdom, but I have gotten tired of having to try to explain the difference to my kids, so we are just going to go ahead and call it Disneyworld!)

yah, we kinda like it here

We started out our first "real" day in Florida at Disney's Blizzard Beach. It is a huge water park, and the story behind it is that someone once tried to build a ski resort there during a very bad winter, and then when all the snow melted, the only thing they could do was turn the ski slopes into waterslides. It is such a cute theme! Our weather was absolutely perfect today... sunny and 85 degrees.Tonight we headed to Downtown Disney. We ate supper at Planet Hollywood and did a little shopping!
Tomorrow we are off to visit the ocean!
